Just because we’re prefab, doesn’t mean that you will sacrifice your design. Our building system allows us to build any size, shape, or style. When you’re ready to take the next step, AJIA offers a full scope of in-house design services, working with anything from a sketch on a napkin (and we have!) to a finished plan. If you’re still trying to decide on your overall look and feel, it may help to browse our Portfolio or Inspiration pages to find the look, layout, and size you prefer. Once we have a starting place, then you will work closely with our design team to bring your vision to life.
Over the years our projects have become quite diverse. We’ve built small island cabins, full-size residential prefab homes in the city, and everything in between – including commercial properties and retreats. Do you prefer an ultra-modern and space efficient coach house or do you lean toward the big-timber Whistler look? It’s up to you. We are continually delighted with the ideas our clients bring and would love to work with you to incorporate them into the design.
AJIA’s design process is enjoyable for clients because we use a 3D design program to provide a ‘walk-through view’ which is an excellent visual aid to give not only the look, but also the feel of a future home. We’ll also go through a materials checklist that allows you choose options especially for you.
Once we have a completed architectural design, our Project Management and Engineering Teams step in add structural elements, and to cost it out so we can present you with a package price. Changes can still be made at this point to add or remove features as you consider both cost and needs. These considerations are often a factor in many aspects of both design and finish. Our process allows you to explore ‘with or without’ scenarios to ensure you’re spending where it will have the most positive impact for your lifestyle.
If you’re using AJIA’s Licensed Contractor Team build your project, you will also meet with our in-house Interior Designers to help with the fun part – fulfilling the vision. Choosing lighting, tiles, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom details are all easier when you have the access to material samples, a showroom, and the expertise of a designer at your service. Those choices will give you a ‘build budget’, so you’ll know what your entire budget is before we even swing a hammer.
